Streamed the Broken Bells album yesterday. Like 'Dark Night Of The Soul', I reckon Dangermouse has hit the nail on the head again. The man is obviously a genius and one of the most important producers of our time. The album comes out in March and I can't wait. Also got 'DragonSlayer' by Sunset Rubdown. A massively underrated album.

Aaaanyway, here's the final podcast which contains my absolute favourite tracks of 2009.

Podcast 1 : My top 75 tracks of the year (pt. 1)

So, as promised, some podcasts.

I've been building a "Tracks of the year" playlist for the last year that is made up of odd tracks that I come across and like. It's mainly guitar based stuff that take me to work in the mornings. Some are singles, some are album tracks, some are just stuff that I've found during those endless trawls of the internet that I go on every now and again. Each track has been played to death by me this year and I'd like you to hear them.

So, this is the jet age?

Welcome to infinitycubed, a project some 42 and a bit years in the making; but this author has been far too busy doing other stuff to get his thumb out of his arse to make a start. I made a promise to myself in January of 2009 to actually do something this year and have finally got around to it, some 51.5 weeks after the promise was made.

Still, better late than never, eh?

Anyway, what this blog sets out to achieve is to let the ether know what my head sounds like at various points in my life. You may even find something you like and if you think you like something that I'd like, let me know. I really will listen to anything. Some things I'll like, some things I won't. Some things I'll comment on, some things I won't, but thanks for the pointer anyway.

I'm in the middle of creating three podcasts of my favourite tracks of the last year, and I'll upload and point you at them when they are ready. Hopefully they'll all be done between Christmas and the New Year.

My aim is to produce three or four podcasts a year highlighting what I like at that point in time. Don't know when it will happen - hell, this bit took 42 years - but I will definitely post lists of things I like in between/instead of podcasts.
